Dear Chase & Logan,

My best friend – or should I say “former” best friend – recently told someone else one of my personal secrets.  It was really embarrassing and now I no longer want to have anything to do with her.  Am I overreacting?

Signed, BETRAYEDATPCA

Dear BETRAYEDATPCA,
First of all, I’m sorry.  That doesn’t sound fun.  Second of all, I don’t think you’re overreacting… for now.  You’re obviously very mad and have every right to be, but let it blow over for a few days and then see how you feel.  If you’re still angry with your friend, talk to her and find out why she did it… maybe it just slipped out innocently.  People make mistakes, BETRAYED, and the sign of a good friendship is the ability to forgive one another – even for big screwups like the one you described.

Dear BETRAYEDATPCA,
Of course you’re overreacting!  I tell secrets about my friends all the time.  In fact, I’ll share a couple with you right now:  Chase wears the same pair of “lucky” pink polka-dotted boxer shorts whenever he has a test.  And my other roommate Michael still sleeps with a night light and has a rash shaped like Martha Washington on his back!  If you’d like to hear more, just stop by my room or come visit me in the gym (I’ll be focusing on my abs this week, ladies).
